How Epidural Steroid Injections Work
An epidural can be performed to target the middle of the spine and cover as much territory as possible (interlaminar approach) or can target one specific area (transforaminal approach). It takes only a few minutes to complete. You’ll only need 30 minutes from check in time to check out.
Fasting is unnecessary before this procedure. Also, if you are taking a blood thinner, this needs to be discussed before scheduling your procedure.
